SalesForce licensing comes in many different variations. For the purposes of considering the impact on SaaS Alerts performance and functionality, the licensing assets which are applicable relate to Salesforce system security.
There are three security licensing tiers which can be applied to Salesforce instances offering differing levels of security services. For complete information on Salesforce security options and configuration see Salesforce documentation at https://trailblazers.salesforce.com/. This KB reference only covers the relationship to Salesforce security and SaaS Alerts capabilities.
Basic security
Comes standard with Salesforce. Audit log information is available on a 24 hour recurring basis. The SaaS Alerts platform ingests the audit log data and creates event notifications which dramatically enhance awareness of Salesforce day-to-day activity
Salesforce Event Monitoring
Requires a Salesforce license upgrade for all users in the organization. The event monitoring license provides near real time data availability to the SaaS Alerts platform. SaaS Alerts polls the audit logs and other discrete data endpoints every 10 minutes to provide up to date activity monitoring and event alerts
Salesforce Shield
Requires a Salesforce license upgrade for all users in the organization. The Shield license provides near real time data availability to the SaaS Alerts platform. SaaS Alerts polls the audit logs and other discrete data endpoints every 10 minutes to provide up to date activity monitoring and event alerts
