After careful consideration, SaaS Alerts will no longer offer an automated migration process for moving customer organizations between partners.
SaaS Alerts started offering this service in 2023 as a convenience to our partners. However, we have found that the migration process diverts the engineering team’s attention from product improvements and maintenance. Our focus must remain exclusively on continuous improvement to SaaS application security monitoring, alerting, remediation and configuration for our partners and their customers.
Effective immediately, SaaS Alerts team members will no longer be able to support customer organization moves between partner entities.
Partners can follow a simple process to move customer organizations between partner accounts:
1 - Connect the customer organization to the partner instance that will be taking over management of the customer
2 - After a minimum of 24 hours, the customer organization can be deleted from the original partner account. Deletion of the customer organization will cause all customer data associated with the customer at the OLD partner to be deleted.
3 - If the partners / customer wish to save prior data, they can do so by exporting the data using the Analysis tool in SaaS Alerts.
4 - Partners can request that SaaS Alerts perform an export to CSV on their behalf. SaaS Alerts will charge a $200 fee per 50,000 individual event records. The fee will be charged to the partner account that is acquiring the customer. The fields exported will be: DateTime, Alert Status, Event Type, Description, Location, IP, and Account Name.
We recognize that this change may be inconvenient to partners who have previously relied on SaaS Alerts to manage customer migrations, but the change is necessary to best serve the entire SaaS Alerts community and allow our engineering team to remain laser-focused on our core mission.
