Whitelisting Explained
Whitelisting can be set at the Organizational Level and the User Level. It is important to note that User Whitelist Settings supersede Organization Whitelist Settings. This means that when adding a whitelisted location to a user the organization's whitelisting rules will no longer apply. The image below shows the logic and process that occur when an alert is processed.
How to Edit Whitelist Settings at the Partner Level
- Log into SaaS Alerts.
- Head over to the "Settings" tab
- In the "Power Filters" window click the down arrow to select a Country to Whitelist, IP or the Autonomous System Number (ASN) to be whitelisted.

Then follow the "Configuring Whitelist Rules" process described below.
Pro-tip: By adding a whitelisting configurations at the partner level, it will allow you to Inherit your whitelisting rules and these setting can later be applied across any of your organizations by activating the "Filter Inheritance" switch.
How to Edit Whitelist Settings at the Organization Level
Select The Organization

Click on "Organizations" from the left side of the window.

Click on "Edit" within the "Power Filters" column for the Customer Organization.
- Then follow the "Configuring Whitelist Rules" process described below.
How to Edit Whitelist Settings at the User Level
Selecting the User

Click on "Organizations" from the left side of the window.

Click on the "Users" Icon for the organization you wish to edit the user account.
- Click on "Edit" within the "Power Filters" column for the Users you wish to update.
- Then follow the "Configuring Whitelist Rules" process described below.
Important: User Whitelist Settings supersede Organization Whitelist Settings
i.e. - If an Organization is set to "U.S.", Then the User is set to "Australia", the User WILL receive "Outside Approved Location" Alerts for the U.S. Adding the "U.S." to the User Whitelist Settings would be Required to prevent this.
Configuring Whitelist Rules:
Power filters by Countries:
In the "Power Filters" Window click the down arrow to select a Country to Whitelist or begin typing a country name in the text box.
Power Filters by IP Address

In the "Power Filters" Window you can select "IP Format", and an "Individual / Range" of IP addresses.

Click the "Add" button to add the Country and IP settings to SaaS Alerts.

Click on "Save Filters" to apply these settings
Power Filters by Approved Autonomous System Number (ASN) Names & Locations

In the "Power Filters" Window you can select an "ASN Presets" from the list or you can simply create and add your own ASN data.

Click the "Add" button to add the ASN Name, Country, State Code and City configuration to SaaS Alerts.

Click on "Save Filters" to apply these settings
