The times presented in the body of emails or PSA Tickets are UTC (GMT). Emails and PSA Tickets are created in this way since SaaS Alerts automation, which creates the ticket or email body, cannot predict the time zone within which the information will be viewed.
The time presented in the headers of the email by the email client application is presented in local system time. This is the same condition when viewing an email within a browser which is also coordinated to local system time; SaaS Alerts cannot control the local system time. The SaaS Alerts UI ALSO presents the event time using time coordination via the browser.
Other smaller differences in event time may appear due to the lapse in time between the activity which created the event, and the reporting of the event by the product API. These differences can be up to several hours depending on the product reporting the activity and activity type.
SaaS Alerts Reports, when generated, reflect the time of the browser used to create them. Additionally, this means that two people from different time zones viewing the same report may see events containing different times. SaaS Alerts records Alert Data in UTC and then adjusts it based on the viewer's browser which is synchronized to the local time of the viewer.
